I think that the eagle has probably been replaced as have the collar tabs on the artillery tunic, though when is another question, as the eagle looks to have settled into the material, but it and the tabs look to be in much better condition than the remainder of the tunic. Only my opinion as always.

    Hi Bond,
nothing is replaced at the 36 Tunic. Its not unusually at property tunics, that the eagle is stiched through the complete material.

The 43 tunic is a fabric one"Kammer gestempelt" and the eagle is only stiched through the Upper material, later someone removed the eagle.
    cheers

    Hi Nikolaus,

It looks to have an outline from an earlier eagle IMO and also as you mention it, I thought the early tunics had the eagle stitched without being visible on the inside, but only my opinion and I could be mistaken.

In my opinion the M35's Eagle and Litzen are not original to the tunic, and as Bond has rightly pointed out looks lke there are signs of a previously sewn on eagle...some tunics had the eagle handsewn or machine sewn without affecting the lining while on others the sewing went thru the lining.
    Cheers
