G'day gents, I bought this small group a few years ago at a military fair, just wondered what you all think of it. This is exactly as I bought it, the bloke I bought it from did'nt know much about it but I particularly liked the eagle. I don't know whether it is a bunch of gear just thrown together or whether it did actually belong to the bloke in the photo. The eagle and collar tabs appear to have been glued at some stage to a board or something. Any coments would be most welcome, cheers, Dave.

I have a similar eagle that was authenticated here. I hope they're real, but I couldn't tell you.

Thanks gents, I'll see if I can get some better pics, I'm not the worlds best photographer but I'll do my best.

All look fine. I like the fading/wear to the pink of the Litzen and the shoulder boards which looks fairly consistent to the set.

Like you say, no way to actually confirm if they were his. It is always worth asking why they have an attributation when making a purchase like this.

    Cheers, Ade.

Just one thing, the eagle has a green backing and not black (which it should have for Panzer), which might mean they were not always together, though they might have been, as these rules are not set in stone.

    Whatever its just an opinion.

That is exactly what I thought, it is a very dark green. The bloke I bought it from couldn't shed any light on why but he said that he bought it as a lot and as he wasn't asking a million dollars for the lot I thought it was worth the asking price ($200 au) about 2 years ago for everything pictured. I'm just glad that it all appears to be authentic. Do you think the eagle is an army officers?

Hi Jerry, if these came off the service dress M36 tunic, it would have of course been a green backed breast eagle. I know you know that, but you are in Panzerjacke mode of thinking

    Cheers, Ade.

I'm getting quite excited now Ade, do you reckon this eagle is a Panzer?
