some kind of Italian camo hat?

a friend of mine was cleaning out his fathers old war collection and he gave me a few pieces I saw this and it looks like some type of German Italian camo hat but I cant find any that look like it what's odd is it doesn't have the holes on the side of it like most German field caps do but I know some of the Italian camo items were field made does anyone know if this Italian camo or a fake?

Post war copy of German cap lots of these around some in original Italian cammo most made of postwar cammo Yours looks like it for the reanactor trade Germans made some of these in Italian cloth and that is what it is trying to be. IMO I could stand to be corrected. timothy
