Re: Splittermuster jacket (Reversible to white)
Hi Josh, it looks fine to me.
These got made with salvaged materials, off cuts etc at times, so in this case, I would not worry about the odd empty stitch marks.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Splittermuster jacket (Reversible to white)
Very nice jacket. It could be from a zeltbahn.

Re: Splittermuster jacket (Reversible to white)
Hi Lars, no. These were not made from Zeltbahn material. Zeltbahns were made from a thick cotton duck type material. These winter jackets were made from a much thinner rayon based material.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: Splittermuster jacket (Reversible to white)
Thank you. The texture just made me think i looked a little like zeltbahn fabric.

Re: Splittermuster jacket (Reversible to white)
Hi Lars, this is one of those occasions where handling the two materials side by side is needed. Pics can only help so much.
Cheers, Ade.

Hi all,
I thought I would share with you all some photos of my latest buy.. It is a 'Splinter-Pattern' jacket, used by the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe.
This one is nice and salty with numerous repairs. Let me know what you think!

Re: Splittermuster jacket (Reversible to white)
Thanks all, I'm very pleased with it.. Keep your eyes peeled as I will be starting a winter combat mannequin/torso using this jacket.. I need suggestions on what pieces to add first!
All the best,
Josh
