Was this an SS, or Heer volunteer group?

I was wondering if anybody knew whether this Arabian unit patch was for the Waffen SS, or for the Heer? (or neither)

never seen that before , it's interesting, doesn't look too old either, where you get it

I got it with a bunch of GOOD stuff I just bought. I never have seen it before, myself. So it is either very rare or a fantasy piece...

THANKS A LOT! So I know it is legit. I guess he was Heer, not Waffen SS.
