Sorry, the hat has many red flags. The white top is of a heavy cordoroy type material not used in summer hats. Eagle looks like a cheap cast. chin strap is different than in picture. sweat shield appears to be soft plastic instead of stiff cellophane, but hard to tell from pic. Picture of guy wearing hat too washed out to compare tops. I suspect the pictures were added to sweeten the pot so to speak. Fakers like to mix good pieces with bad hoping you will accept everything uncritically. You should pass.

Also, In addition to my last post, after looking at the wreath and corcade the poor centering and sloppy paint job on the red dot makes me reasonably sure the wreath is a poor cast fake as well. I say this because I have and have had numerous Luft. EM visors and the quality and paint on originals is always exc.

which the Luft gentleman is wearing....................!

For starters I'm NOT echoing what the other friends say...I'm expressing my own opinion AFTER having seen the pictures and it's funny to see how many of us are on the same "wave lenght";the cap isn't the same cap as shown in the pictures...because the one the LWmann is wearing is 100% genuine!
I don't like the stamping on the leather flying helmet either...and less than less I like people who mix crap to genuine pieces to sweeten the pot,to put it like Waffenbruder....and when they post here to look for "endorsement" and values,well.....

But the funny part is that some people think this is ebay. They bring in an item that is not 100% original and/or normal and think that no one is going to know. They ignore the fact that this is a forum for collectors and full of experts.
