Well, the uniform is Heer (Army) Panzer. The Waffenfarbe (color) for branch of service is pink. The breast eagle is the Panzer/Heer type. Rank is officer - Hauptmann or Captain. The award is the German cross in gold cloth version. NH
Thanks very much for this information.
Any idea how to determine a value for this uniform?
Hi there, get as much provenence for this panzer collection as the more proof you have of where and when it was obtained by the vet the higher it's value will be!! If you get all that together an original group like this(and it is a scarce group)will be worth a few thousand pounds/dollars.
Very nice 1940 dated officers panzer wrap and trousers and assuming it is all original, with the Deutches Kreuz im Geld (German Cross in Gold) and all its original insignia, it has to be worth at least a few grand and possibly a lot more.
Is there any sign of a name tag inside it?
Also, are there any loops for other awards on the opposite side of the breast to the Eagle & DKiG?
Do you know where and when it was captured?
Regards,
Jerry
Whatever its just an opinion.

Steve.
I know who brought the items back, but unfortunately, he has passed away.
I am unable to provide more details about these items as they have been sold. I believed I had sold them to a reputable collector/dealer. I no longer believe that is the case.
I guess the sick part of me wanted to know just how badly I'd been taken.
I'm starting to get the picture.
I appreciate all the information.
Thanks, Gentlemen and best wishes on your collecting endeavors.
Regards,
Beth
Very sorry to hear that you dealt with a disreputable person, and I hope things didn't go too badly for you. How very sad, and what a despicable thing to do to someone.
