Volkssturm mannequin try out

Article about: Today i am trying to make a nice volkssturm mannequin al items are from the years 30 till 1945. The weapon is a gewehr 98 spandau 1916 suggestions are welcome. pics

    When i try to see beyond these pics, i try to imagine how it must have felt to be dressed in rags and armed with whatever guns that were avaliable.
    Just waiting for that 80% chance to die......

    Well at least the Germans gave them guns , the Japanese had sharped Bambo poles given out to fight off the invasion of the Home Islands .

    The Party was responsible for arming Volkssturm-units, not the Wehrmacht...It wasn't unusual for Volkssturm units to disband due to lack of firearms/ammunition...Or they found themselves armed with nothing more than a Panzerfaust...after firing the Panzerfaust they were on their own...The Russians often executed Volkssturm as Partisans or Werwolves, btw...

    Once you fired your Panzerfaust, you could use the tube as a club

    A question though, is the belt on the volkstrum mannequin an atypical example of what would have been used? From my little experience, it looks like an officers belt.

    Yes they used everything that was on hand you see in may pics differend belts officers enlisted civil.
    When i am back from my work i will ad a m43 and a late war party trousers.
