Waffenrock decision

Hello, all, again.

In the classifieds section there's a 91st Infantry Waffenrock that I'm just thinking of buying.

The seller doesn't know if the eagle was replaced, I've compared it to some I've found online, and I can't seem to figure out if it has been replaced or not. so I would more than greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with that.

It's listed for $600.

It's missing the Pip on the shoulder board, and there's supposed to be two. Would it be frowned upon if I were to buy an original pip and put it where the missing one should be?

Is this a good buy?

Look again...that price is 600 British Pounds...not dollars. That translates right now into something like 871.41 US dollars. A wee bit of a difference. And, yes-I would say that the eagle has been replaced. The front edge has obvious moth damage as well. It's up to you about the price, if you think it's worth it. An identical replaced pip should not hurt the value unless it's patina is stand out different from the remaining one.

I feel a better one can be found for this money , yes the eagle looks replaced but as William put its your choice at the end of the day
