Hi Douglas, Lt's shoulder board.
Now, good old green is always a bit of a contentious colour. There is Admin, Panzer Grenadier and Gebirgsjäger all using green as their respective waffenfarbe.
I would say it is fine and for Gebirgsjäger.
What was it sold to you as?
Cheers, Ade.

Thanks for your answer. They were purchased (cheaply) at a militaria fair as wartime gebirgsjager boards.
That is good. You can now rest easy.
Cheers, Ade.

Im a bit confused about something though, most of the boards I have are in a mousy grey thread, whereas these are silvery. Does this indicate anything?
Yes: dull "grey" silver thread was for field use. Bright thread for service/walking out wear.
Luftwaffe straps were bright thread.
Cheers, Ade.

Nice boards. You can also add Jager to the equasion. I just sent to Ade--a CD with pics of most of my Imperial & WWII German cloth collection on it and for posting here ;-))
