Wehrmacht company button

Article about: Not seen one like this before. The numbers are not plain like others I have seen. Not sure if the background was pebbled or plain. Looks like zinc but may be aluminum in excavated condition.

    Not seen one like this before. The numbers are not plain like others I have seen. Not sure if the background was pebbled or plain. Looks like zinc but may be aluminum in excavated condition. Is this a transitional type, or is it something else? Many thanks
