Hey guys,
I picked this up at a little shop in Cairo, I know it German world war two era, I don't know what it is, if it is rank then it is enlisted, but for what? Is it from the Famous DAK outfit? Let me know thanks

Hi AKbear
Your patch is the rank of an army senior private, eg: Oberschutze, Obergrenadier etc. It was worn on the left arm roughly midpoint between elbow and shoulder.
Whether it is genuine or not, I couldnot say, other, more knowledgeable people than me will have to say so.
Hope this is of some help mate.
Regards etc.

That explains a lot, thanks Jimpy. I wonder if it is fake or not and if it is from DAK? Those who can tell please let me know
thanks
AKbear
Hi, AKbear !
It is what Jimpy says, and normally referred to as a 'pip'.
The colour does seem right for the desert...........
Regards, Steve.
Do colors matter, meaning do certain colors mean things?
Thanks
AKbear
Thanks Steve, but the color doesn't look right for DAK? Do you think it is a fake?
Hello,
That's right, it's an Oberschutze/Obergrenadier arm rank insignia for the off-white Drillich tunic...it's not sun faded, but brand new...
Thanks
