    A chemical suit makes sense,you can see how the flare round the hood would help seal with a gas or oxygen mask and how the flange on the cuffs which would also help seal there with a belt to help seal round the waist.Sarin hit my reading list recently and apparently it came out of I.G. Farben in 1938,I didn't know that. It is a very interesting thanks for the extra pics, I would say a very rare piece,no idea of what it's worth.

    That's right. Actually, the name Sarin was composed from the names of its inventors: Gerhard Schrader, Otto Ambros, Gerhard Ritter and Hermann van der Linde.
