WW2 german coat?

Is this a german coat from WW2? Thanks in advance.

Can't see anything that would specifically connect it to either Germany or to the Second World War. A fur lined coat like this could have been made anytime from the turn of the century to just yesterday.
Are there any internal markings? Ink stamps? If not - without rock solid provenance - it could be from anywhere, and from any relatively recent period of time.
I'd have thought a military greatcoat would have military-style buttons, unless it was privately purchased. But then you run into the aforementioned problems with provenance.
Not going to give my verdict on this one, as I don't feel qualified to make the call. Best wait for someone who knows greatcoats better than I to show up.
