FW Holler Heer dagger

Here is a fake Heer dagger marked FW Holler,they appear to have used a " Herder " design eagle on it rather than a Holler design, the easy way to identify it as fake is that the logo says Berlin on it rather than Solingen.

Well that one would have fooled me!

Thank's to you guy's we might all be able to save money.Thankfully we have a good Dagger dealer here in oz that knows his stuff and will not sell a fake at an original price.If it's fake then he tells you straight up and prices it accordingly.Like ive alway's said there is nothing wrong with a fake as long as you know it is before you buy

There are some nice Fallschirmjager gravity knive's available over here too and they are very nice quality repro's.They have the RB number on the spike which apparently the real ones don't so keeep an eye out for those.Here they sell for $250 as a copy but i would hate to be fooled by one for $800!

Hi Zwerge , the fake scabbards can also be spotted by the pattern of the pebbling , the fake ones having swirling patterns that really stand out , whereas most original examples have a random pattern .

concerning the Heer dagger, note that this fake is made in Spain, by Marto, and the (poor) marking "Berlin" is caracteristic of this model of fake, made in the late 70's
As for the SS dagger, what a massacre ! Among the evidences, note the motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" quite in the middle of the blade : the word "Treue" must end at 22 m/m of the guard... the pommel and the guard have no good featurings and design, the eagle of the grip is not correctly placed, the bottom of the scabbard as no screws... OMG ! What a dirty work...
