    Default Heer dagger in classifieds

Attention..this dagger is listed in the classifieds and is up for discussion and is considered to be a potential risk in having repro fittings..I ask Vesuvio..to please post clearer photos of the crossguard and pommel. Hopefully this dagger can be relisted once better photos are provided. Regards Larry

Hmmm...scabbard band is very high, never noticed that. Is it/them one of the suspect parts Larry?

    Regards, Ned.

The blade engraving and fittings were brought to my attention via PM.....partially due to poor photo quality. Although a minor inconvenience in "WRF Loss Prevention" its better to be safe than sorry. I dont want to see something get listed as authentic and the WRF get a bad name..when it may be questionable.

    Other comments and opinions welcome.

Looks like a beauty. Generic B fittings ( cross-guard and pommel ) and unmarked blades are very common. Lovely personalisation that looks fine to me. The scabbard may be a replacement but I cannot see enough of the throat and screws to make a call either way. It does not look to be your standard Generic scabbard which is what you would expect but certainly not a deal breaker and probably right as rain.

I think the dagger called into question regarding the fittings was the other dagger posted with the personalised cross-guard???.
