As you can see the heer is a lot smaller than the Luftwaffe example.

    Any opinions and comments welcome

The detailing on this is not too crisp (My apologies for the crappy pictures the light was terrible today here in Wales)
Here are a couple of close ups of the eagle and pommel.

    Nice Doug!
How many miniatures do you have now?
I have two Heer and one Kriegsmarine, still looking for a Luft. and another Heer. Also wouldn't mind finding a miniature DRK hewer either, and a RAD.
You can see them displayed here with their full sized counterparts.

Note the ill fitting ferrule between the guard and handle.
Next are a couple of general shots of the dagger out of the scabbard.

The scabbard seems to be cast in one piece and the mould marks are clearly vissible on the dagger handle.
Not having seen any other examples of a heer dagger I would not be suprised if this turned out to be a dud.

Super display Ralph. Thanks for posting the pictures
I was never really an edged weapon collector the just seem to come along at odd times.
I remember having a Luftwaffe example 30 odd years ago but haven't seen it for at least 20 odd.
Just recently I have come across 4 which I decided to purchase.

    All the best
