Crossguard has wear marks on top almost looking like a larger ring was in place. Either way I just love being involved with these items. Half of the fun is knowledge gained. No exception with this dagger. Trial and error combined with research is a great combination. I thank you all again.
I agree with Peter, Correct later type 2 Eick that is seen after the adoption of the "Squirrel with sword" MM and later pommel type, early type scabbard rings but looks to have transitioned to the single rear screw. Just the combination of fittings you expect to see together in this period. Best, Kevin.
