Gorgeous double oval early Eickhorn. This one must have just missed out on a slant grip, it has the earliest cross-guard, scabbard ( typical thick Eickhorn throat ) and pommel. Almost certainly a tapered tang blade and fantastic untouched patina over that very nice personalisation and fittings. Fantastic dagger with what looks to be a lovely dedication, any chance we can see a clear close up, the way these engravings are finished never disappoints with some close up shots of the craftsmanship.

p.s Do you still own that wire wrapped Klaas, Vesuvio?.

hi, you have lovely early C. Eickhorn dagger, it is almost identical to mine, also with non slant grip (I attached photo of it below) but yours look much better I think - with nice personalization on crossguard it is reall beauty!!!

Pleas try to post better pictures of crossguard and maybe tell us some story which is behind this dagger...

I have a picture of the officer as well, just need to find it ( I hate moving)
