Nice early Eickhorn looks like a real nice dagger. Love the personalization. That dagger has witnessed some history.
Super patina on a very correct early Eickhorn! Love to see clearer pics of the personalization. Congrats! Kevin.
Always interesting when these historical pieces have an Personal ingraving.
Gorgeous double oval early Eickhorn. This one must have just missed out on a slant grip, it has the earliest cross-guard, scabbard ( typical thick Eickhorn throat ) and pommel. Almost certainly a tapered tang blade and fantastic untouched patina over that very nice personalisation and fittings. Fantastic dagger with what looks to be a lovely dedication, any chance we can see a clear close up, the way these engravings are finished never disappoints with some close up shots of the craftsmanship.
p.s Do you still own that wire wrapped Klaas, Vesuvio?.
Hi degens,
No, I sold it a while back. Selling-trading some of my daggers for firearms. Can't collect everything (sadly)
v/nice one.
Vesuvio,
hi, you have lovely early C. Eickhorn dagger, it is almost identical to mine, also with non slant grip (I attached photo of it below) but yours look much better I think - with nice personalization on crossguard it is reall beauty!!!
Pleas try to post better pictures of crossguard and maybe tell us some story which is behind this dagger...
Best regards
Peter
Here are some additional pictures of the officer's name.
I got it from a friend collector.
The research was done by Bill Warda Jr
I have a picture of the officer as well, just need to find it ( I hate moving)
I love this one!
All has been said above! textbook beauty!
