By the looks of the rim join it is made by BMB (Briggs Motor Bodies)
Hi George all looks good from were I am sitting here one of the Mk IV's in my collection as well has the same matt black finish the only concern I have is the possible absence of a few buffers around the liner .
Regards Mark

I don't think any rubber buffers were on the crown strips on sizes 7 1/2 - 8.
I read somewhere that the black lids were for police (military?) use in Germany!...
Thanks guys !
Liner size is 6 1/2 and it is made by FFL - Lift the Dot type.
As to shell markings - I can't see any - the paint coat is pretty thick.
Here are more photos of the liner and it looks like all the tabs are present.
Thanks George I could not see them in your first set of pics.
Regards Mark
Thanks - I know the original liner photo wasn't too great.
Btw - GTA area flea markets tend to have more Bulgarian helmets than anything else :-)
Here's some pics of what looks to be black Mk4's, although some might be the light & reflection making them look black.
All from Ireland apart from the soldiers lying down which is in Berlin.
Thanks ! Now i need to find a nice net and on display it goes :-)
