Post 2 navy helmemets talker? and crew deck helmet?

    Hi
I got this 2 helmets from my friend.
I though I know what are these helmets but after close look I don't know what to think
First one look like us navy talker helmet, but, it is green, has rivets and different liner than those we usually see on ebay or google graphics. Maybe it is spanish? Or other euroclone
Microphone and headphones have S.E.A. signatures
The 2nd looks like crew deck helmet, but I have no idea is it british or us? And what could those paintings mean? You think is it authentic or rather a "souvenir" not connected to any ship?
    Thank you for any help
    Best regards

Well, I don't know the answers completely but the label in the deck crew helmet contains US nomenclature. In particular the 2nd group of numbers in the NSN are 00 which means this is a US item. The cartoon character on the back however, is Ogri a stereotypical "biker" character from the UK publication "Bike" magazine.

    Thanks
So it may be US helmet used in british navy?
There is also a stamp SEP 1976 so maybe it is the date of manufacture?
Anyway - thank you for help

Looks like the once-US “Talker” helmet has been painted and re-linered. Talker helmets were used by a number of countries.

Your profile doesn’t reveal where you are....and therefore a possible source of the Helmets....

I don't know for certain but I doubt it very much unless it was part of a complete schedule of equipment that was US supplied. Maybe one of our navy specialists here (I know they are around) can say for sure. Maybe the RN did use US Flight Deck gear?

I think that Sep 1976 being the manufacture date is an odds on bet.

Friend brought those helmets from France so talker was probably in french navy
But I'm not sure since it has no markings, only on microphone.

I suspect the Talker was US-supplied. My Talker doesn’t seem to have any stamps.....there was a stencil marking somewhere I think but they can be easily over-painted. I know other Navy’s used them. The microphone may not always have been with the helmet of course......so don’t assume they’ve always been together.

    Good luck.
