    Hi there

Thought I should add my RA helmet to this thread.
Its a MKII with RA flash with no maker marks on the shell and liner has J.C.S &W LTD 1939. The helmet is named to HARWOOD 1472116. Also the chinstrap is faintly marked with the same name. It has been repainted during wartime on the exterior with a sand finish whilst the original colour is still present inside.
Is there any way of finding out any info about this man?

    thanks

Hi, Great looking helmet For a small fee I would have thought there was a way of finding out who Harwood was, on the internet, Although I have never done it. Let us know if you do find anything out.

    Philip

By all means you can place it on your website.

I have searched through the Commomnwealth War Graves Commission website and he is not listed there so it looks like he survived the war. You can ask the MOD but I think you have to prove the person is deceased.

Maybe some other source will turn up.
