Brit MkII GIO helmet

just thought I'd stoke the ol' Home Front MkII embers...'see if we can get some new additions....here's one of mine.

A Gas Identification Officers helmet...2 black diamonds front and back...not overly rare but I love the condition. '41 shell with '40 liner...'looks pretty much un-used. 'had a gas curtain once but that didn't stay on long enough to result in two-tone yellow...but it's removal took some paint with it.

But that aside, have you got/seen a one/two black banded one.

Is it acceptable to confess to jealousy and envy? very nice helmets, I have no idea how many GIOs there would have been but there can't be many helmets around.

I used to collect the images from e-bay of 'the ones that got away', so I thought I would add them here.

I've got GCO FOOD, GIO + 2 diamonds, GIO and a really odd one....FIO....all yellow. 'Would be interested in others.....
