Default British Helmet BMB 1944 - Opinions?

I dont have a lot of experience with British helmets. This one came up and I have a chance to pick it up for around $40 US. I was curious what you guys think. Last time i bought a helmet i thought was British, it was actually Canadian and had been "messed with".

These are the only pics I have. Im told its marked BMB (British Motor Bodies) 1944. Is this what they call a Dispatch Rider helmet? Thanks!
    Jay

All wartime despatch riders helmets were made by BMB, even I think the ones made post war into the 50's.
All looks to be there, with a little bit of wear, but for $40 is a bargain.
The correct name is: Helmet, Steel, Despatch Rider.

Nice helmet Jay and well worth the price a steal at $40 dollars any chance you could post a pick of the Canadian helmet you are referring to and or pop in a link if you showed it on the forum.

    Regards Mark
Always on the look out for WW II Canadian Helmets and Cam nets to add to my collection.

Found a Canadian Mk II Medics Helmet and yes I know they are about as rare as hens teeth !!!!!
