Default British helmet camouflage netting and field dressings.

    Greetings all,
Does anyone out there have any knowledge of field dressings being worn on British helmets, either on or under camo nets in the US para style?
Was this ever done? Any photos?

Field dressings were carried by all British (and Commonwealth) troops in the pocket on the front of their trousers. However it was also fairly common to see the larger Shell Dressing carried under the helmet net as well. I can drum up a photo or two of this practice for sure.

Well you seem to have got enough photos to answer this already, so I will just add this British one:

For the sake of accuracy, I just want to point out that with one exception (the Bren gunner in post #3) I think all the original photos show a Shell Dressing being worn on the helmet, not a First Field Dressing.
