    Hi Mates,

This British Mk 2 , dated 1940 , is all present and correct, ship shape and Bristol fashion.

But i have a question for you all, on the chinstrap it is written
A & C Mardorf, I do not believe this is someones name , and the research i have carried out leads me to believe , that the name refers to a shipping company. i was wondering does anyone out there, know if A & C Mardorf operated out of Plymouth UK, during WW2 ??

I have already attempted to find out this info on the web, and in my local naval history library section, but alas no info has been forthcoming.

Any info , as always would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    Gaz.
