Were these helmets ever repainted in field like M1's were?

I am curious, are you sure it was repainted?
There also appears to be an Army Serial number on it.
    Does that increase the value?
Also to me it looks like a field paint job - is that a possibility?
I am no expert on these, however I am just curious about the helmet.
If it doesn't sell I am going to keep it.
I paid $100 for the helmet and net including shipping a few years ago.

Has anybody opinions changed now with some more pictures and the seller here? I'd like some more opinions on the paint it's not the typical post war OD gloss that i've seen. Also I'm not doubting you guys getting these for around 40 dollars but can you find me one of those deals?

Well I have three of those Canadian helmets all repainted and within the limitations of the computer image the external colour looks very like my three. The difference with mine is that the interior was not repainted and retains the original slightly more brownish khaki green. Also mine were repainted a matt olive green, not glossy. I bought all three back in Aug 2011 for a total price of $121.

Don't get me wrong. I would be very happy if the going rate is a hundred bucks each. Because I'll certainly put two up for sale! Maybe I got lucky but at the time that seemed to be the going rate for Canadian helmets. I hope it has gone up since.
