    Hi, Looks like it might have been repainted post war with olive drab,so hard to tell as pictures 11 & 12 are virtually the same, but one looks original dark brown the other green.

    yeah the paint under the top layer is a dark brown sorry for the photo not showing it that well

    Not a problem, these helmets had quite a long service life & were painted many times.

    Your right i'v seen a photo on here that's not to old of a Syrian solder use one

    Hi, nice to see one with the stamp to the steel as the paint normally obscures it on these MKIII's. Leon.
