Default British Mk IV, dated 1945

I found this one at the SOS in Louisville, KY USA today. It has a date of 1945 on the liner. There is nothing visible inside the helmet, due to the thick paint. It uses the dot-snap fastener to hold the liner in place. I am quite sure the netting is post-war, but it came with the helmet. I have been looking for a nice Mk IV, and am glad to have this one.

Always on the look out for WW II Canadian Helmets and Cam nets to add to my collection.

Found a Canadian Mk II Medics Helmet and yes I know they are about as rare as hens teeth !!!!!

Thank you, gentlemen. It was a lucky find for me. The lid was up on a shelf amongst a bunch of other stuff, and I just had to wonder what was under that netting. Lo and behold, a treasure!
