Sorry to offend, but I meant that the British equipment was down graded all through the war, while it seems that the Canadian gear always seemed to be of better quality. The British battledress being one example, no brass buttons on the 1940 pattern, less material (buttons exposed). The Mk2 helmet being another example,Mk2 liner easier construction, elasticated chin strap no metal springs, smaller nut & bolt. Plus many more.
No offence taken GB took the brunt and this I am thankful for but she did not stand alone I think as a nation many miles away we did every thing in are power to assist.
There is nothing wrong with healthy debate.
