A very hard to find Mk3 painted textured khaki green No.3, as most of you know the majority of these were painted textured dark brown. So at a guess probably the first batches of Mk3's were painted khaki green until stocks were used up & the dark brown came on line.
The MkII HSAT was also to be found painted khaki green at first until the dark brown took over sometime in 43, the HSDR were still using khaki green up until 1944.
The shell is a BMB although there are no markings visible not even the usual dent in the helmet where it was stamped at an angle into it. The liner is 44 dated & made by CCL, it has a Mk2 lining securing nut & bolt as apposed to the usual Mk3.
