    Here's just a standard MkII, original paint inside & out but has a rare maker marked liner.BH&G ( Barrow Hepburn & Gale Ltd) They only produced liners from1939-40, this one being dated 39 the same as the shell which was made by F&L.

    Nice one Aaron,
    Here is my only BH&G liner in an 1939 Aussie Warden,shell made by Commonwealth Steel.

    Of all the places to find an BH&G liner, inside an Aussie lid Do you think it was taken out of one of the British helmets that were sent to Australia at the start of the war.

    Could have been,or maybe at the start of the war we were importing liners from Britian for our locally made shells
    It would have been good if they also put Month of manufacture with the date on these lids,Eh.
    With these rare liner makers,like BH&G which operated so briefly,im wondering if they were awarded a contract to supply to countries whose liner production wasnt up to speed yet,and then folded when demand ran out, just a thought
