    Hi Guys, this one came into work and I thought that you might like a look?

    Liner by Helmets Ltd 1939. Chinstrap is Canadian.

    Nice helmet & net, strap is British. But there is a well known picture of an Canadian officer in Normandy I think, with this same chin strap. Why, who knows.
    Strap is non magnetic so would have been fitted on a Mk2 No.1, although this is on an Mk2 No.2C.

    I reckon that is why I had it in my head it was Canadian then.....

    It came with a nice single decal Heer M42 I showed earlier tonight in the German section.

    A nice helmet indeed Aaron is correct about the strap It has been associated with Canada because of Lt.-Col. John Meldram, Commanding Officer Winnipeg Rifles wore one on his Mk.III.
