Liner is dated 1940, helmet date is not visible due to rust.

You used to be able to pick these up for a tenner or so only a few years back, but dealers have them at about £40-45 these days and there is one in a local antiques center near me that has a very nice example at a way too expensive £72.

There will be a time, when none of us can collect no more, due to constant rising prices.
And dealers are not helping.

Got it, 43 pounds.
Could have been better but there is always someone putting a few bids more.
Anyway, this one is mine.

Hi, the lid has arrived a few days ago.
Did a bit of cleaning and shell is dated 1939 and BMB marked.
