    Finally got an opportunity to buy a Brodie.. Chin Strap probably does not belong here - but what do you think about the rest?

    It looks fine to me, I suspect the chinstrap may be a replacement when the original snapped, as happened at times.

    It is not a Brodie, it is a Helmet steel MKII.

    The price is OK for a helmet of this type.

    No worries, lots of people do the same thing and in fact I have done it in the past. Also, for future posts can you please use the forum picture uploader as it is often the case that external picture hosting sites lose the pictures sooner or later and that then makes the thread useless for other users.

    Brodie is still a common name for it though, despite being technically incorrect. I'd go for it for 50. I bought a 43 one in similar condition, but with a camo net for that price.

    Bargain at $50, AMC, Austin Motors Co, although looking a bit mint the chin strap is the correct one for a 41 dated army Mk2.
