Evening gents the post man was kind enough to deliver this little gem to me today although the 42 C.L./C. was the most widely produced Canadian Mk II of the second world war and I have a few in my collection I could not pass on this one .
It is sporting a VMC II liner in a size 7 1/8 and is nicely C-/l\ marked on the shell, liner and chinstrap the two tone camo net is of the early 1 variation woven with the merrowed edge and it is nicely scrimmed in brown and green oil cloth (America cloth ) and burlap the net has been on the helmet for some time and has left a slight ghost of an impression on the shell from the net .

Very nice helmet. As for the 42 C.L./C. being the most common of the Canadian Mk IIs, I think you're right as I have three!

    Hi Mark,

Congrats on the new helmet! Another fantastic piece! Good to see a C Broad Arrow on the chin-strap.

The C Broad Arrow on the helmet has a rather uncommon "Pointy" arrow, most of them are rounded. Nice !!

    I really like your collections.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Cheers!

I think I have 3 CDN two tone nets, and 3 British nets in my collection

    CDN:
    1. Plain on a CDN Mk.II
    2. With scrim on a CDN Mk.II (DP&H)
    3. Plain not on helmet (For reference)

    British:

    1. Plain "Lime Green" (Not on helmet, for reference)
    2. With scrim, dark green, on a British Mk.II
    3. With scrim, dark brown, on a British Mk.III

A super collection of netted & un-netted lids, & a black shiny one hiding away in the corner, HCRAC.
