Hello! I do not really have too much to say here, I just felt like I should share a little gift I got during the holidays. This is my first and currently only Canadian mk2 in my collection.

It is marked GSW 1941, which makes it one of the earlier combat helmets and not made from magnetic steel. It has one of the earlier postwar chin straps and the liner is marked size 6 7/8 made in 1942. And, of course, the liner was made by VMC. The whole helmet has been repainted with the typical postwar green. On the paint, you can see black lines that would have come from stacking another helmet on top and staying in storage. In the picture above, the chin strap is definitely more green than the picture shows.
