    Default Desert war

    Gents, howzit.
I have two of these helmets, both exactly the same, though one of them has been repainted a dark brown but untouched on the inside. They are South African issued as the names Kleinman and Theron appear written inside together with their army ID numbers.
The seam is on the side of the helmet.

Any info on this type of lid would be great.

I cannot really add anything other to say you are correct: South African issue.

    Thanks for the link Bru.
I wonder what value they hold.

These are still fairly common and so the value is low. I cannot recall now a figure, (check E Bay) but they are good helmets and are worth buying.

    Cheers, Ade.
