    Could some tell me how to identify between a ww1 and ww2 French helmet please.

    The most obvious difference is that the M15 has multipiece construction and has a the rib joining the dome to the visor, the M26 does not have this.

    There are a number of other differences, this link will (with the help of Google translate) will show them all in impressive detail if you click on each helmet.

    Yes indeed. The M26 is made of a heavier stronger steel, and has multiple small holes under the vent and comb (visible from the inside) rather than a single large hole on the M15.
