    Default French M26 helmet

    Hello everyone,
I want to show you these two M26, my recent pick up.
The first still has the old badge, unfortunately missing the liner; the second is complete and assemble the 1937 badge.
As always every opinion is welcome.

    Greetings

    Thanks Tony,
I agree with you, the old version is the most beautiful, I regret missing the liner

    Cheers

    Thanks Bruno,
I found one without badges, such as your example, and within it was mounted the liner of a German M35 helmet, also marked with the rbnr number

    Cheers

The M26 was my very first military item. I just bought it on Ebay for fun and then more and more stuff entered my holy halls. Then a cold war began between me and my girl friend: "Shoes vs. military items". But we arranged already a peaceful coexistence.

    Hi Oldsteel

Yes it happen some time. Not quite easy to find as most existing one were disasemble to get the german liner. To be kept as is. Most surely "liberation" or "resitance"

@RKKA, I knwo the feeling. That said, helmets are an investament that may help buying shoes. Oppposit is more difficult ; )

    All the best

    Bruno
