Perhaps mentioning it was repainted might save him some grief later on.

Mate, you have to go on the UK site. It doesn't show up on ebay.au.

Yep, repainted and noting if there are any dates etc. as well as not saying it's a brand new, unused, undamaged item but then I'm probably a nerdy and difficult helmet collector

I like to think i'm as nerdy as I need to be to prevent getting ripped off by vague descriptions of re- painted helmets as in the listing.

Well I tried to upload a couple but I can't get the uploader to work (it opens but will not select files?) . However, they are more than enough to dissuade any self respecting nerd or even half way educated collector that this is nothing more than a "representative" example of the type at very best and not really something for a serious collector of helmets or even someone who wants authentic background to a collection of related items. It displays pristine and bright paint which although it looks about the right shade allowing for monitor difference, it appears to have been applied very recently. The condition of the liner which seems very good does not match it in patina.

This muppet is obviously trying to give him enough wriggle room to fend off any complaints by saying "I never said it was....."

    Again "Caveat Emptor"

    Regards

    Mark

I'm not 'nerdy', but am sometimes called Neddy.
