Help needed, with insignia

Hi, Does anyone know what this insignia is? Although helmet is not dated, I would say it is 1938 or 39, also, chin strap lugs are fitted differently than normal? any idea's. thanks, Aaron.

Great looking lid,sorry can't help with the marking,but the chinstrap fixings look like Mk 1 type .....could be wrong.

The insignia baffles me, but the shell and liner make me think of South Africa.

Have a look at the black supports. It could be marked "Jager Rand".

Hi, The only marking on the liner is a No 7. The crown pad is not the felt type you normally see in SA helmets, more like the british type. The helmet has no markings either.? Aaron.
