    Default Home Front Mk2 "Ambulance"

    Morning everyone,
I wanted to share with you this last little addition to my British Home Front collection, it's an Ambulance Service helmet, an example that was missing on my shelf.
The letter "A" is not centered, but is moved to the right, probably overwritten by a previous logo of another specialty.
The helmet is a good example of Mk2 N°1 of early production, with liner type Mk1 and second type chinstrap lugs; all very well marked:
    Shell: R.O.Co. DP I / 1939
    Liner size 7: VERO I 1938; Acceptance stamp (12+Arrow)
    Chinstrap lugs: II/1938
None shell and chinstrap components are magnetic, this tells me that it is an example originally intended for Army use.
On the chinstrap the owner name is visible. it would appear to be: "Fink".

    Regards
    Roberto
