    An ww2 British helmet, used by the Irish post war.The badge is for the Western Command.

    Thanks tinlid for the reply, I have looked at the western command badges and can't find a match. None I have looked at have a shield and bomb.

    Unless I'm mistaken this is the whole badge, with no parts missing like your badge.

    Yes I think your spot on with that, I thought it was a falling bomb on a shield, now I see its an arm . I'm a bit on the disappointed side. Hoping it was WW2.

    Apart from the paint and the lining securing fixing,all is WW2.
