Article about: I picked up a rather interesting helmet in an antiques shop yesterday. I saw it sitting on a shelf across the shop and immediately recognised it as being WW1. When I turned it over I saw str

    Hi, I like it personally as being a definite Home Front re-fit. That size label "sticker" is of the same type that you find on RAF officers private purchase cap from WW2. I would say it is possibly from an officers "upgraded" group of effects. Leon.

    Steve just to give many thanks for sending it my way my Hen daid (great grandfather ) fought in the great war and was also in the home guard during the second world war ,i feel its a fitting combination ,i like it very much
