Default MK II Steel Helmet 49th Infantry Division

    Hello,
I bought some weeks ago this MK II Steel Helmet with liner made by TTC (Teddy Toy Co Ltd. Dagenham) and dated 1940. The rubber pad is missing. It has the khaki tan sand textured outer shell on the original olive-green paint.
Painted on the side in white on a black background, there's Polar Bear of the 49th Infantry Division. The drawing is not very precised and just stylized.
I bought this helmet in Normandy from a house clearance. The man told me that a friend who lived in Caen gave him this helmet.
    No more information.
I think it was possibly rusted and cleaned.
What you do think of it ?Thank you. Regards,

I don’t do military MkIIs but the rim section appears to be wrinkled...is that the case?

Is there a makers stamp in the rim next to the strap retainer lugs?

    Hello,
    Thanks you for your replies.
The seller is not a collector and had this helmet for 25 years. It's not a guarantee but I like the insignia even I'm not an expert of this helmet.
