Mk III 1944 dated helmet.

Article about: Here I have a MkIII helmet manufactured by BMB 1944 (Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd). The helmet before I came to own it has had the paint sanded off to show the date mark, I can just make out the

    Hi Ian, At the start of the war there were shortages of certain pigments to produce the green paint. By 1943 I don't know if this situation had changed or not, or if there was another reason they went over to dark brown.

    Hello friends,
    I try to make my contribution sharing with you the Mk3 with its original net.
    The interior still has its kachi green textured paint, the outside instead was capped with a darker color, probably for reasons of camouflage.
    It seems interesting and I hope you like it.
