Mk1 hsrac ? ? ?

Article about: I recently picked this up and thought it may be a MK1 HSRAC, but now i'm not so sure. any thoughts gentlemen? Gimson & Slater Liner dated 1943, can't see any markings to the lid.

    It's an Mk1 HSRAC. The Mk2 HSRAC had the rivet to fix the liner in place.

    thanks tinlid. any thoughts on the paintwork?

    Repainted, most likely post war,as these helmets had a long service life.The bolt on the outside does look a bit clean, so maybe has been replaced at some time.

    Hi Bananamafia, Looking at the liner and its shape and colour etc, I would suggest that it is a Royal Navy Gunner's helmet??
