Mk11 No2c with unknown stamping

Article about: Hi this is my british mk11 No2c dated 1940 on both liner and shell. shell is made by BMB ( briggs motor bodies ) liner made by TTC ( Teddy toy company ) But the unknown stamp is DH 222 with

    Hi this is my british mk11 No2c dated 1940 on both liner and shell. shell is made by BMB ( briggs motor bodies ) liner made by TTC ( Teddy toy company ) But the unknown stamp is DH 222 with what looks to be a A on top any ideas any one. one on the left is The British one the one on the right is my dutch Mk11 with net and cover.

    Welcome to the forum, most stamps with letters & numbers are steel batch numbers, but they are normally right by the date/maker name.
    So I think your stamp might be for the owner of the helmet, or the company that might well have bought over 200 helmets putting their stamp on it too identify it as theirs.

    thanks tinlid although it cant be the steel batch number because that is near the date just badly stamped
    recently i had to change the liner draw card it was dry and brittle and falling to pieces so i swapped it with a black shoe lace like my reproduction liner on the dutch mk11 (it came with a reproduction liner and chinstrap)
    some would say it was in dire need of a new liner draw cord.

    But what company's had the initials DH apart from De havilland ?
