Textured paint outside, smooth in, stamped on the shell CS14591 ( Commonwealth Steel) ink stamp 7 1/4 & an broad arrow over something.I presume the chin strap is correct ?
Liner ink stamped as well. Any feed back from our Australian helmet collectors would be good to check all is ok.
    Thanks.

Did you pick it up in the UK Aaron? It looks to be in very good condition.

Very nice, Aaron. I know you have been without an Aussie lid for a long time. WRT the net - I believe it is an Australian net. I have one in my collection just like it. The twine is very thick - almost like thin rope.

    Congratulations !

I knew it was a original Aussie net, but was suprized that it had been on there so long & had left an imprint. Which was a bonus, thanks for the comments.
